Cosmetic Treatments

Semi-permanent make-up (also known as micropigmentation) is a revolutionary and safe method of inserting pigment into the dermal layer of the skin. This is achieved by using a state-of-the-art machine which has been specifically designed for the cosmetic market. Results will last from two to five years if aftercare advice and guidance is followed correctly and regular colour boost treatments are carried out.

Eyebrows

Whether your eyebrows are uneven, naturally fair, sparse, too short, too thin or over-plucked leaving them barely visible, a semi-permanent eyebrow enhancement can create natural looking, fuller eyebrows using ultra fine individual hair strokes which mimics the look of natural eyebrow hair. The results give back definition, create elevation and will contribute to overall facial symmetry.

  • Define sparse or over-plucked brows
  • Get natural looking brows with a realistic hairstroke technique
  • Ideal for those who have lost their hair

Eyes

Using clever semi-permanent make-up techniques, eyeliner will emphasise your eye shape and colour and create the appearance of longer thicker eyelashes. This can be tailored to suit everyone from a barely there treatment to full and more striking liners. Eyelashes draw attention to your eyes, so you need to make sure they stand out! Lash enhancement will ensure your lashes look their best.

  • Frames the eyes and enhances eye colour
  • For people unable to apply eyeliner themselves
  • Ideal for sports people, like swimmers

Lips

With clever liner and shading, semi-permanent lip enhancement can create the illusion of more definition and volume, replace any loss in colour and can correct asymmetry or imbalance in the lips. If you want luscious lips but don’t want or feel ready to go down the injectable route, then this is the perfect treatment for you. Just add your favourite lip gloss and go!

  • Create the appearance of volume and fullness
  • For a natural more youthful appearance
  • Ideal for people who want 24/7 lip colour

Frequently asked questions

Does it hurt?

Numbing cream is applied to the area before the treatment starts. Normally clients experience no pain but may occassionaly experience a slight stinging sensation. I will continuosly check that you are comfortable and you are welcome to take a break at any point during the treatment.

What makes semi-permanent make-up different to a tattoo?

A traditional tattoo is placed at 3.5mm under the skin which is below the exfoliating layers whereas Semi Permanent Make-up is placed at around 2mm depending on the area being treated. Tattooists will use inks that contain carbon which is extremely difficult to remove from the skin. Semi Permanent make-up is pigment which contains oxides which leave the body much more easily.

Who might be interested in semi permanent make-up?

People who wear glasses/contact lenses - People who play a lot of sport - People with allergies or sensitivity to regular make-up - People with a lack of definition to the eyebrows, eyes or lips - People who have suffered with cancer or alopecia - People who like to look fabulous when they wake up in the morning.

How long can you expect semi permanent make-up to last?

This is very dependent on each person and in particular that person’s life factors. Generally speaking, the treatments should last somewhere between 2-5 years. However, as a person changes with age, it is extremely important to consider changing the design and colour to suit.
